Ralph L. Davis, 77, of Mineral passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009 at his residence. He was born February 19, 1932 in New York to Byron R. Davis and Elizabeth Cline Davis. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War for which he received a Purple Heart. Ralph recently served as a volunteer for the Mineral Rescue Squad and was a member of the Mineral VFW.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Geraldine Marie Davis, and a son, Billy Hanna.
He is survived by his sons, Ralph L. Davis, Jr. of Kentucky, Brian A. Davis and his wife Stephanie of Afton, VA; his daughters, Darla M. Zelfer of Oklahoma, Dawn E. Evans of Ohio; two brothers, Kenneth Davis and his wife Darlene of Mineral, VA, Ronald Davis of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009 with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Woodward Funeral Home in Louisa. The Rev. Tim Chrisman will be officiating. Interment will be private.
