Richard Wheeler Crumley, 82, of Kents Store, VA passed away February 5, 2010. He was born October 15, 1927 in Bristol, TN to the late Martin Luther Crumley and Lucy Wheeler Crumley. He was a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Norfolk, VA, a member of Open Door Church in Troy, VA, a member of American Legion and V.F.W., and an Amateur Radio Operator W4YJR.
Richard is survived by his wife of more than 58 years, June Murray Crumley, son Brian M. Crumley and wife Kristen M. Crumley of Narrows, VA, daughter, Judi Piorkowski of Charlottesville, VA, grandchildren Brian Martin Crumley, Jr., Stephanie L. Crumley, Shayla D. Dennis, Cayla R. Dennis, Logan B. Dennis, and sister-in-law, Nan Murray of Northern Neck, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Woodward Funeral Home in Louisa with Pastor Charles Undercoffer officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, VA.
