Shirley Gordon (Sissy) 55 born May 16, 1956 in Louisa Virginia took her journey to heaven April 11, 2012. She had a strong courageous battle with lung cancer. She is strongly survived by her loving husband of 40 years Donald Gordon, Sr. Together they raised three amazing supportive children their son Donald Gordon, Jr. and his wife Rebecca Gordon. Two daughters; Stacy L Gordon and Kelsey G Marks and her husband Kelcey D Marks; and two adorable grandchildren; Danica Gordon and Donald Gordon, III. Sissy also has two brothers Steve Hall and James Hall. Sissy was admired and loved by many friends and family but had special friends Dorothy Davis whom she shared a special bond with. Also very close family friends Toot Ryder and Joy Sacra.
Sissy enjoyed being an amazing mother, wife, and friend. Her passion to live and love inspired many. Her strength was admired by so many. Sissy enjoyed her shopping trips, the beach, spending time with her family. Her two dogs were like her children. Being a grandmother made her proud. Most of all a warm pretty day and having her music turned up loud gave her joy.
She will be missed and never forgotten by many. Therefore she will live always. She was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Hall her father James L Hall and her sister Helen Spare.
Funeral arrangements were made by Woodward funeral home in Louisa. Family night was held at April 13th from 6-8 pm and services held April 14th at noon.
